Description

Welcome ! This is my cover for Dennis L. McKiernan's novel titled 'Dragondoom'. I'm am damn proud that I could paint this cover. It was great experiance for me and I must admit that I'm very happy with how it looks in the end of the process. Creating it was lots of fun for me, now I have to wait just a bit more and I will see it in the book stores. Media I've used: - Photoshop 7 - Painter 8 - Poser 5 - Lots of concept drawings. I hope You will all like it, my friends, because I'm really proud of this one. Hope to hear Your comments/crits/votes. They would meen a lot to me. C U All. Luke aka Ringwraith.

So many book covers are flat...you get the feeling that the artist has said...well...it's a book...there doesn't have to be any depth. But you've taken this...made the dragon leap forward...and it's added power and drive to the novel. Of course, these ideas would be nothing without your skill, and you have created this cover with every single ounce of it. It's fantastic

i think you have performed a very tight superbly suitable pece of artwork here! you should be proud....not everyone gets on book covers mate ;) i can see this being an embossed cover on the book and it would just work so well! good concept, not too much detail, enough to catch the reader and show the dragon but not enough to make it blur into colours and nothing else at a distance...very well done! bravo!

Great work! The Dargon jumps on you when You look at the cover! The 3D effect in 2D (as the cover itself is printed it is 2D)... I have much to learn concerning book covers... And the fact that I should be working on my own right now;) Soon I'll ask You for an opinion... Oh, just one more thing: the ornament seems a bit pixelated, but the dragon makes up for everything! It's nice to get paid for doing what you love, isn't it?

Mmh, nice idea, but I recommend, that you reduce the font size of the Authors name by 4 to 6. The white color of it takes away the attention of the viewer from the picture and the book title.

It's a very interesting style. Good combination of a 'real'-looking dragon compared to the rest of the cover.

Awesome! I really like that author's work too. So amazing that I would get to see someone do a cover for one of his books, and an excellent cover at that.

Excellent work Luke. The intricate work around the frame, and the sense of depth you added with the dragon work beautifully together. I hope it brings you much joy when you see the book cover for real.

I reckon as with most artists you are probably you're own worst critic when working on an image...but when it feels right it usually looks good...you have every right to feel proud of this work.....that is one mean dragon!!...bravo!!

It must be an awesome feeling to know that a work of yours will be published. And to be affilliated with a well known novelist. Way to go my friend. This is your finest work yet! nice job, and keep it up.
