Description

Thank you for your comments on Moonrise. One picture is only a shot of a moment. I've standing there observing the rising moon. But I was thinking how I could show you the process of this rising celestial body. I had made several pictures (slides) and I figured that it would probably add to this only picture to put them together in a series. So that's what I've done. I could not do it without scrolling (sorry, Sanad, I beg you humbly for pardon) but I hope you will understand it. No postwork is done except - of course - very little cropping, correcting levels, little sharpening and putting them together in a simple black frame (Photoshop 7 & PSP 5), approaching as much as possible as it was with original slides. Time intervals and angles are irregular, I was too much overwhelmed observing this event to have any consciousness for this matter. Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments P.S. For those who are interested in celestial events: Nasa provides excellent information on their site, such as the most recent post A Gathering of Planets Part II, where you can freely subscribe if you like.

Wonderful stuff. The sequence shows up the oblique angle the moon rises at, its funny but I'd presumed it rose much more straight up. Another good site for celestial stuff is "heavens above". Thanks for this, its obviously taken a bit of foresight and work.
