Description
Oil on Canvas
Each canvas is 120 x 80cm
total time taken to paint: approx 50 hours
I decided to post the three paintings together so that you can see the order that they go in. (individual posts are in my gallary)
I have changed the red one since my last post, I decided that there was too much tension in the background and so adjusted it to what you see now.
Comments welcome as always

Very nice to see them as they should be...very cool animation...'the awakening' or 'the realisation' sort of...5 stars for this

Now they make much more sense together, you can see the whole developing story. I think it payed off the efforts employed :)

Well I thought the red one was wholly appropriate before, but it's no less successful now. Great to see them all together, it really shows off your talent well :-)

Nice touch with the oil.Years ago I made exactly the same self portrait with myself, obviously not that well drown as yours appear to be ,but is ever so nice to see that someone else has such a similar idea of portraying themself as yourself.Great work, wish I could have shared mine with you.....maybe one day. Best of luck ;)

Very nice work here.. true art. Sort of a more introspective take-off of the "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" monkeys.

One of the best thing with this site, that you can look at some very talented artists with out travelling around the globe. You have a great talent, using the colours verywell knowing less is more, the expressions on the character is excellent captured. Im not saying this to kiss ass here, but I had a look thrue your entire gallery and you have an own style, wich I think looks great. //Benny

Bravo! Every piece in your gallery stands out, but this series is the one for me. A simple concept that slowly kicks in and stays there for a long while to think about. Thanks for sharing your art, I'm really happy I stumbled into your gallery =)

This triptych is very interesting, the 3 paintings are making a whole for sure. Maybe I would have had them is 3 different hues but this is really neat this way. I like your brush stroke style here.

Love the colours, triptychs can be like mood stories, giving a sort of sequential shift in feelings, really like this.
