Description

Another naval battle scene using the Hankster's wonderful HMS. Victory. Bryce5 + a lot of postwork in photoshop painting the flames, smoke and splashes. Will have to buy me a Wacom tablet one of these days as painting flames etc... with the mouse is NOT easy. Thanks for looking, comments welcome and highly appreciated, Pierre

Terrific job. Well worth all the effort with a mouse! I'd invest in a pen if you're going to carry on doing work of that complexity though. BTW a great way to create plumes of black smoke in Pshop is to use the clouds filter in a new alpha channel, play around with the levels and use it as a mask. If you use lots of layers it's really convincing.

Awesome work! You did the post with a mouse? Dang, you must have the hands of a brain surgeon or something. :)

very convincing flames...You would love the Wacom. All you need is the 5x4.To me it works better than the 8x6. V

Great image, probably the best of this type I have seen. I can't believe you painted it with a mouse. A tablet is so much easier, and worth every cent.

Whoa, this is very cool. The water effects, the fire and smoke, and the composition of the entire scene are awesome. Even better knowing that you did that post with a mouse.
