"Balance of Terror"... great episode of a great show. :) I like the subtle use of color and the way the elements are blended together. Great picture.

Absolutely phantastic! A great collage from my all-time-favorits original series episode ever, introducing an enemy that cares for honor and is depicted as one that deserves as much respect as the Starfleet officers starring in the series. The nameless Romulan commander played by Mark Lenard in Balance of Terror is the Original Series' symbol for respect and tolerance for an enemy and the possibility of friendship between the Federation and the Romulans was seen in this episode already. Pity that they later exchanged Klingon subterfuge for barbaric honor and Romulan intellectual understanding, mnhei'sahe, for secrecy and furtiveness in The Next Generation and later series. This image brings back memories from my earliest childhood when I was first taught by my parents that even those of opposing opinion who work for different goals than our own deserve respect and, when defeated, mercy alike, showing to me this episode when I was but five years old. Thank you for this. Yours, Dola chi-Trei.
