This is really coming along nicely. Definately the best i've seen of Serenity. One thing it looks a bit too 'clean' for a space serving vessel, it looks like new, just rolled of the line. Perhaps adding some minor scrapes or blemishes would help?

Cool ship. Its too bad that show didn't make it, But then again I never liked their glorification of the Confederacy, and the subtextual elements inherent in that.

Confederacy refers to "an alliance of persons, parties, or states." Any association with actual history or events is the making of the viewer, not the creators of Firefly. Unfortunately, Firefly was being overshadowed by mindless pap like "Dawson's Creek". Nothing like insipid teenage angst and poor dialogue to drown out a much higher quality show like Firefly.

Having received comments from three forums, here are the things that need modifying on the mesh: 1. Add plasma whisps from the fusion drive 2. Dirty up the entire vessel to be a filthy as the head 3. Add better textures to reactor section of the ship. 4. Double-side some polygons to stop light passthrough (noticable on the port wing engine) 5. Increase luminosity of light effects coming from the rotating section--not casting enough light on the back of the crew dome. 6. Do an animation showing the moving parts. 7. Add more bump textures to the backlegs 8. Add more atmospheric scortching to the wings and wing engines. 9. Modify the voulmetric lights used to create the wing thust--give it more texture.
