Art is not about art, but about life
and how we see it.
The way in which you are able to
come across is in correltation with what
you know, what you kept out/in and then had
the power to imagine.

Recomended : I highly recommend a Knowlegde
of Anatomy, this way you can know for example :all
the muscles in the body or for example how many heads tall a person is. This is important for proper proportioning! I recommend Dynamic Anatomy By Burne Hogarth, best Anatomy book out there, all those muscles i never knew about shame on me.
Also reccomened : Drawing on the Right side of
the brain, a study which delves into negative and positive space, and also jumps into how the brain works and how it communicates the rights and left of it. Amazing. Learned plenty.
Lastly i would Highly reccomend studying the
Great artists of the past. (This way if you are serious enough to even care at all that is)
You can be exposed to the different movements.
Mannerism, Cubism, Pre Raphealites,Symbolism, who knows maybe even plagorism and male sho-vanism!

Very strong - I can see her in it, and all women. To see with the eyes of a child - fresh and alive, yes....

It is indeed something profound when you see beyond your own conditioning, the automatic emotional responses, to the pure being lying underneath. Like stepping out of the melee to see modern society, a gestalt entity in the form of a dog chasing its own tail, round and round ever faster until something gives and it collapses. The feeling of deja vu is uncanny: then you realise that the mindset is one you have been to before, but not since early childhood, before the rot set in. It feels familiar. Thank you for your thoughts and for the gift for Meli.

Yes, your drawing is very much the essence of Meli. A beautiful gift! Your thoughts touches things that are very important to me, I often feel sorry when I see how conditioned my seing is if I not am attentive. I wish I could meet the whole life just the way I am when making my images, attentive, here and now, totally concentrated. But I can't, life is not that easy. Thanks for bringig this up.
