Description
Thinking about all the things I could change in the new year, this image came into my mind. Simple Poser figures with textures from Mayang or Animax. Rest modelled by me. The gates where quite a challenge.
A creative new year with many wonderful inspirations to all of you.

A great work in the best surreal tradition: Max Ernst and William Blake spring to mind. Only detail I would change is the texture of the grille. I would make that metal, without the brick pattern.

Has anybody asked wether it is an upwards or a downwards movement? :-))) Ok, i assume it is an upwards one. So lets all become angels! Zack! Very creative and perfectly executed. But why are these all male? Are the girls already in a much higher phase? Or still in a much...? Questions about questions - so little answers!

i love the symbolism... from stone to flesh, from mind to snared vision, from thoughts of what you might like to change to firm stone resolve & determination... and yet i'm left to puzzle a few things out [and the thing i love best is that which engages me] - i'm curious about the play on the number two, not only via the two sets of stairs [thuogh whether these step lead anywhere is left uncertain] and the two gates, but also found raised upon the wall in roman numeral... p'raps it is as simply as representing choice, the acquiescence or decline of something, and maybe things are never that simple so a hole is made instead in order to find a true path to freedom, and thus choice... what fun your image is to ponder upon!! :))
