Description
Its been rather a long time since I did a classical piece, so while I ruminate over the plot for the next chapter of Skytown, I shell spend some time revisiting my more habitual genres.
Electra is one of the best know women of Greek mythology and the subject of numerous plays (both ancient and modern), operas and movies. She even has a psychological complex named after her! In brief, her infamy largely derives from the murder of her mother Clytemnestra in revenge for the killing of her father, King Agamemnon.
This is a companion piece to the DS3 illustration I made of Clytemnestra (over three years ago!). I've kept a similar simple treatment and used the same setting props, as Clytemnestra was killed in the same place as Agamamnon. ...Like mother like daughter I guess!

delightful portrait and PoV, a persuasive tongue and vengeful heart hide well behind that sweet mask of feigned reflection

What a dangerous family !!! This reminds me of my young days...we know almost everything of Greek and Roman myths and history...this is a superb illustration of the myth.

Fantastic image, excellent work !!

Very nice - like the bronze on the dagger - so many folks would have left it bright iron or steel. Detail in historical art is always a good thing!
hashdoc
the pov is excellent!

Woooooooow....
Truly a godess - although I certainly wouldn't want to wind up on her bad side.... Been a while since I've delved into any good ol' Greek Mythology, but maybe this is a good time - being stuck in the house so much these days...
You really did a fantastic job on her, Joe! She is breathtaking (in more ways than one), and your lighting here is magnificent. Top marks, sir!
Now, back to..... How did you put it...... Ruminating over the plot.... 😉
